Looks like you ran into the Slave Lords in the Guarded Compounded....heh
Well, to beat them, there are several methods:
1) Area effect spells like Cloudkill, Death Fog, Ice Strom ... etc
2) Lure them down stairs and slaughter them down there (since the 2nd floor has 4 traps near the stairs)
3) Summon summon and summon more critters to act as blockers and attackers
