you can probably find most of them in your startup folder which is in you windows/start menue/startup folder, delte all icons pertaining to any applications you do not want to start up. If you can't find everything you want to stop in the startup foldern then ther will be a registry entry for it somewhere. The easy way of stopping these apps is to go to start/run then type 'msconfig' without the grammer('') and find the tab which relates to starting prorams on boot, uncheck the box next to those programs you dont want to start. WARNING, only uncheck a box if you know what program you are telling to stop. This will only work for windows 98, MSCONFIG does not exist in windows 2000/NT/95
