The only thing my level 21 monk is vulnerable is instant game over attacks, (ie things that wouldn't kill other party members permanently, like imprisonment and flesh to stone). I don't have the gloves yet and i'm currently facing Kangaxx... the only enemy which my monk can be beaten by. Oh and watch out for level drain from vampires when playing as a monk, when a level 21 monk goes down to level 9 things get a little tricky
