I've got a real mess here. I wanted to uninstall and then reinstall BGII (because I hacked character files and I wanted a fresh start).

I could not find the uninstall option. I launched the game, I went through all 4 CDs, and I ran a search but I could not find the uninstall. So, I dumped the BGII folder in the recycling bin and deleted all of it.

I rebooted my machine, inserted disc 1 and tried to begin installing the game anew. But instead of running the autoinstall, CD1 instead takes me to the regular game menu (play, exit, read me, configure...). If I click "play" I get a message that says "since this is your first time playing BGII, please configure your settings". If I click on settings/configure, I get no response.

CD1 still thinks BGII is in my comp somewhere...can someone please tell me how to find/delete all remaining BGII files and reinstall the game. Any ideas appreciated.

And yes, I am fully aware that I am an idiot. I only got my PC a week ago...
