you SHOULD NOT kill Gath, because he cannot be killed. your target is Bloodscalp Renal, right? just kill him grab the loots and run
here are two ways:
first, with a monk as main guy:
have Jan prepare lot of domination
have Minsc and Jahiera stand at a propriat position near the door
now charm Bloodscalp Renal.
move him close to door.
have Jan began casting Greater Malison (if you do not have robe of vecna)
when he is in the middle of the casting, like 1.5 seconds, pause the game
have Jaheria and Minsc cast doom at B.R.
have your monk get quivering palm
the doom will hit B.R. first, and Greater malison right after it
now hit him with your monk!
he dies, have the nearest guy grab the loot. pause the game, RUN!!!!!!
the second way without a monk:
DOMINATE AS MANY THIEVES AS YOU CAN, including Bloodscalp Renal
summon five monsters
move them all into that small room
cast web three times
have your main character drink potion of free action
move you main character in the middle of those guys
have them all attack B.R.
now Gath will appear near your main guy. now, have EVERY SUMMONED AND DOMINATED characters attack Gath
Gath will kill whoever is targteting him, this gives you time to kill B.R.
samething, grab the loot and run
