Two words IceTitan...Skeleton Warriors. Mages/Clerics who are Level 14 (I think) or higher summon SWs when they cast Raise Undead spell (of whatever it is called...).

I also suggest mages casting Lower Resistance on the Balor immediately, followed by a slew of Magic Missiles and offensive spells with short casting times.
