This Nurushu things has to be one of the worst things in the game. I had the patch and my items still got eaten. Its like hear is the one and only
"insert item here" in the game. I took me 4 quests to do and cost me "insert X amount of GP here". Oh look a Nurushu I will fight it. You beat it and then save your game, only to find that the item that took you a week in RL time has disappeared.
