Moiraine:
I was going to suggest the same thing BK did for your son Zelda Ocarina of time. My daughter is 9; will be 10 next month and loves it. There is a new one too, Zelda Majora's Mask. Like BK said it's a kinder, gentler CRPG.
I don't plan to ever stop playing. I always wanted to do D&D pen and paper--never could find anyone to play with.
Bilqis: I'm with you. My daugher thinks I lived in the dark ages. But she tells everyone that she and her mother have a common addication--computer games. She likes her gameboy--Pokemon, she has them all and her Nintendo 64.
My husband and I when we were dating went to video game arcades all time. I remember asteroids, spaces invaders, galaga, centipeed, frogger. The list goes on and on.
I just hope that we continue to get quality CRPG's like Baldur's Gate. The only other one besides the Interplay ones I've tried was Daggerfall and I didn't like it.
