Actually it took me 2 tries to defeat the Twisted Rune place and I was just on my way to head to Chapter 3. All I did was summon a Skeleton Warrior, Air Elemental, and a Pit Fiend after Blessing, Protecting From Evil, and Hasting the party. Then Yoshimo set some inconspicuous traps while Viconia laid a Glyph of Warding and the Hero Skulltraps it. Then Aerie Cloudkills the room and initiates dialogue. By the time the Lich teleports to me he springs 5 traps and is dead before defenses are raised. The fodder absorb much of the Beholder's wrath while the cloudkill eats it away. Killed the assassin no sweat, but the Beholder turned the Air Elemental and Viconia against me. Hold Personal alleviated that. Then Breached the Mage and jammed my sword up his butt. End of story.
