I'm playing an avenger right now, and it's all right. The mage spells came in handy every once in a while, but the ability to shapeshift into a sword spider was definetly worth it. As a sword spider, I have 5 attacks a round, and also poison every time I hit. An excellent mage disruptor, also useful when heading into an extended battle, the poison slowly kills them.
