I am playing a shadow-mage, ie a thief/mage. This has great role-playing potential as you can scout ahead and do a lot of damage in fire-fights. Basically it means that your player character is useful in all situations and will not be sidelined, as happens with many other classes. Use improved invisibility, Tenser's transformation, stoneskin and improved haste for some back-stabbing fun too!
