No i didn't forget about it, i just haven't gotten around to it (work and other stuff). Anyway i've just imported the item now and didn't have any problems. Here's what u do.
1. unzip the file and all the items into your override folder.
2. Open up Infinity Editor Pro.
3. Click on game type - BG2.
4. Click on Mass Installer.
5. Find the file brose.tbg in your override where you unzipped it and double click on it. It will then give you some text saying it successfully imported the file.
6. Open up your save game, call up the CLUAconsole and type in:
CLUAConsole:CreateItem("brose");
That's it. If that doesn't work I don't know what's going on with your game because it worked fine for me. Pretty nice sword, actually gives you -4 to AC NOT -2 as he said in the text.
