haer dalis is not a rogue, he's a blade. not quite the same thing.
also haer dalis is quite useless in my opinion. he can't tank, he's too weak, his mage spells are like an afterthought and his bard song is average, and his lore ability is low. on the other hand, he's personality plus!
yoshimo is a pretty good rogue, he can set special traps which are quite good and his lockpicking and find traps skills are quite good.
what imp? i killed an imp when i first entered his lab. you free haerdalis by killing mekrath. check his body he has some good stuff. have you found the gem? search his bedroom and the adjoining rooms.
