Here's a tip: if you want to use instant kill spells like disintegrate, finger of death, etc it's a good idea to cast Lower Resistance which is a L5 spell if the target has magic resistance, then Greater Malison which is a L4 spell which worsens their saving throws by -4. Then cast your Disintegrate etc.
