liches were actually quite easy. summoned five skeleton warriors, sent them in ahead. rest of my party waited and I read the battle report. 5 warriors killed 2 greater mummys and 2 skeleon warriors and lich in first room, and in the second room so depleted the lich he came out with no escort, and spelltrap on only. I hit him with a spellstrike to take down any physical protection he had, and he was toast.
skeleton warriors ROCK.
also finally found out a way to dispell them. just rest, and they'll vanish, allowing you to generate 5 more fresh ones when you're ready to move into a really high level encounter. for mediums I'm beginning to experient with elementals.
my sorceror has air and earth control, so if it goes rogue i can subdue it. also, does anybody use invisible stalkers? what special advantages do they confir?
plan also to try out summon nihirru, supposedly really good as mage drainer. do they work?
one of my all time fav moments was gating in a pitfiend against the room in the seven vales where you face 5 ruffian types. they were screaming and whining like crazy. the first time you summon a pitfiendl you realize the guys who did the animation in bg2 are frigging geniuses...
literally horrifying
