Liches can be a pain. They always do exactly the same thing, and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it. What level are you? If you have a druid, I'd summon a fire elemental to help, but only after summoning a decoy to waste the lich's spell trigger first (it has a death spell in it). If you have a 15+ cleric, summon skeletal warriors. Magic barely tickles them, and they make short work of most liches. If all else fails, grab your best fighter, give him a protection from undead scroll and send him in solo. The lich won't attack him if he's protected from undead. Only downside is the lich's contingencies will still go off so you'll have to find a way to deal with them or see them out (i.e., mantle).
