Ok, my personal favorite as a character with ANY role playing game is a hacked character. I get as much enjoyment (sometimes more) from seeing how far I can push hacking a game as playing it. anyway, I'm using a elf sorceror with about 9-12 spells each level. found out some things about playing a hacked sorceror...
you may not use chain contingency, spell sequencer, etc. no character in the game may have as many spells as I hacked into my character, and the interface in spell sequencer and other spells will behave strangely, for example a common bug is only first level spells can be shown. its ok to give a mage 12 memorized spell slots as long as you do not have over 9 DIFFERENT spells memorized, when you create the spell sequence. when you extend the number of spells a sorcer can use, the spell sequnce spells WILL behave strangely. however, the whole point of a sorceror was to try stuff out, and since it can cast as many spells as you want, up to six (i did not change that number) who cares? i consider spell sequencer to be a way to compensate for the planning and inflexability to counter a monster's spell arsenal that a standard wizard faces.

Project image an simacrum does work correctly, with a sorcer with 100+ spells. I was really worried about that, since a projected image can cast a spell, and it won't deplete the ammunition of the caster. a cheap way to stretch the ammo of the sorceror/mage in a magic brawl.

Timestop is a really nasty spell. on turn based settings, you cast timestop, launch 2 attacks, cast time stop again. before the poor target can even reply, you're back in frozen time again. I suspect that I can take a demilich on with this tactic, will test.

Imoen is invulnerable to imprison, petrification, power word kill, disintegrate, however will take damage. so, I may try later in the demi lich level the intensive care tactic...turn off the ai on imoen, have her walk up to the demilich and whack away with a sword. I've read in this post imoen is impossible to kill, dropping to 1 hit point but never dying. using her as a human door stop sounds like her hidden talent.

Ok, now for a question...
I have the limited edition of bg2, where is Deirdre the merchant? she's suppose to be in the adventurer's mart, according to the hint book, but I can't find her!
Do I have to complete a quest to buy the robe of vecna from her?
(of course I can just create it, but I want to get some fun out of the game before I start creating spells and items.)
