Never tried it myself. IMO there are better weapons out there. To name just a few:
1. Crom Faeyr
2. Celestial Fury
3. Carsomyr
4. Wave (which hardly anyone uses)
5. Vorpal
I left out a certain longsword because it's useless at the point you get it in the game (like being given a Ferrari when you're 80).
