Ralph,
there are two versions of this 'patch' around - a .ZIP file and and an .EXE file. Many people have had problems with the .EXE self installing version - usually finding only one of the two merchants having been added to their game.
The.ZIP version seems the best, and the one from Baldurdash will do the trick, as J'aran recommended.
