Not exactly, whith a ranger you can get only two skill points for one weapon type anyway.
I do not know really what the numbers of attacks are you can get as a fighter, which is the only one who can use 5 points on one skill. But whith a ranger 2 are the most you can get whithout the use of magical weapons or spells/poitons.
