PR-guy, each of us has own opinion whether Jan is good addition to the party, but I think, everybody will agree that he is definately funny character
Unfortunately you'll miss some very funny conversations, but as to combat efficiency of the party - you do not need Jan, especially with your half-thief main character and Aerie as wizard-support, imho.
