the stew goes in the far prison cell (southwest Corner of 'Cellar') the back wall is knocked out and the rubble is a 'container' (blue highlights when cursor is over it) in the rubble is some dog bones, put the stew with them. I usually go down there and drop off the stew then continue southeast and back up that hall. Then close the doors behind you.
