In the room with the slaves, click on the gizmo all the way to the east in that room to make mind control collars (make yourself a few). Put one in a quick slot then use it on a mind flayer. It'll dire charm the target. Lead the victem up to the door, and he'll open it for you (and then attack). The room all the way east of the arena spawns mind flayers, so there will always be a convenient victem.
They slayer also has the power to open the door.
