First of all:

As for ur problem, I dont think A kensai can dual to a mage... it needs to be a legal multi class aswell...
But I have heard of the game allowing this one, so Its probably to do with ur stats you must have at least 17 in the Prime Requisite of ur Current class (Strength i think for a Kensai) and at least 16 in the prime requisite of ur other class (intelligance for a mage). If u meet these criteria, then I have no Idea.
