Mplayer used to be a free service. i havent spoken with my bro in an aeon or two and i dont use it msyself so i dunno what its like now.

on the positive side, gamespy supports BG1 at least, probly BG2 as well. check it out at...

or just use MSN(or other chat program, or the phone if you have a spare line) to exchange IP addresses with the people you want to
play with.

or in non tech-speak, run WINIPCFG (start->run) and get the 4 segment ip address under ppp adapter (unless you have aol or some such in which case you may have to browse for a bit) the number should look like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx . then give it your other players, who give to to BG2 when they join in the game. the number changes every time you dial in tho, so you have to do this each time.

and remember to save frequently, your crash rate goes up proportional to the number of players you have,squared. so with four players the game crashes 16 times as often.
