You can use the Soulreaver as long as you're not good (ie neutral and evil can use it IIRC).
Barbarians can't wear full plate mail or plate mail, so Drow full plate is no use to him. There is a really good chain mail available at Ribald's when he restocks after the underdark. I can't remember its stats but it's got the best AC I think.
