If you have Flame's mod yes, the Lord has great armour available for all parts of the body. This is for all Lords (unsure about Faeries!), there isn't any special armour for Dwarf Lords. They have pluses to almost all attributes and magic resistances. That's why I love Lords now. Have you visited the Temple yet (wink, wink)?
The Lava Lord weapon requires 90 STR, 50 Mace and 35 Artefacts skills (from memory). So Lords, Fighters and Valkyries are more likely to have the high enough STR for it.
(Edit: Zig, just re-read your message, sounds as though you already know about the special Lord armours)
