You will find a sword in arnika, actually two that are very good and should change your mind about switching to swords from axes. But if you want to do damage with an ax buy the Bipennimus from Anton. Hint, if a vender does not have something you are looking for rest for 3 8 hour periods and thier inventory will change. The new stuff is at the bottom of the list. I did do a whole game with a dwarf wielding beastslayer ax and then diamond eyes later and had no problem on beserk mode. Check all the buildings in arnika and ask Anton about custom items. Identify is a spell your bishop should be able to cast by now, one of the venders may sell a spellbook you would find usefull.

In the new MOD that Flamestryke developed there are a lot more weopons to choose from and an ax about a third of the way through that is pretty awsome. After you finish this game you may want to download that. It's pretty easy to install, if I can do it, most people can. It won't work for a party currently in mid game.
