You get the diamond mini quest when you talk to Myles about a job after you're cleared the bank vault. The diamond has been stolen from the bank, you you get a tiny reward for bringing it back.
You can give the Pickled Trynnie to Ferro. You gain the armory key, and there you find some goodies (helm of brilliance, bushido blade, vulcan hammer)
