My first solo finish was a Bard-to-Samurai, Hobbit. 11 Bard levels and one Rogue level, and 28 total levels at the end. Played on Patch 001b and PP'd everyone. The worst thing about this one was waiting for Portal so i could get the DD without the Helm.
I've had 3 other solo finishes:
Human Lord/Bishop--Lord for 4 levels, Rogue for one, Bishop for 15 and then Lord again, finishing at L32. (played around with the Gazers for a while)
Faerie Ninja. Hardest early game of all. Hardest for much of the middle, too. Winterwand and Wand of Static were alright--ended up Using them so much, my Artifacts maxxed by the time i got the Cane. Got the Dagger, but not the Rod or the Ring this time.
Human Bishop/Ninja: Took 4 Bishop levels then one Ninja, practised Stealth up to max and Dual up to 50 (Crit was incidentally around 50 by then too). Then Bishop again for a level to mix and Knock Alchemy up (practised Divinity too)
Then i took a Mage level to Knock Wizardry up, and another Ninja level to finish Dual (and getting over 80 in crit). Then i decided just to stay a Bishop through the end. I finished at L26. I fought with Mauler/DE and found that Robe of Regen was sufficient in combination with Amulets of Healing and Nebdar; i didn't miss the Inf'y Helm nor the HP i lacked.
This last character is still saved as a doppelganger who continued on when the "real" one Ascended, and is now roaming the Peak attaining a silly number of levels, just to have done it. I've switched her to Fighter just to level a bit faster. Vastly deadly, and impervious to much.
