I take it that you have the latest patch installed.
Sounds to me like a system problem. Wiz 8 uses a massive amount of resources. You can check this by minimizing the game (alt-tab)just make sure your somewhere safe, as the game will be running unpaused. I'm using a P-III 800,w/ 384 ram, voodoo 5500 video card, and Win 98. I have never encountered a game crash yet (knock on wood).
