"Here’s my two cents for you"
1) There is nothing wrong with having to bring RPCs coz if your in it for the experience then you better of playing Diablo were you can eat all the EXPs it can put out for those who love to indulge in OVERLEVELING.

2) The MAIN reasons why the RPCs won't follow in certain areas is not just to follow the plot of the story but to open space for characters that you will meet in area that needs to be rescued or escorted.
