In fact, that's how I got the weapon stats for Excaliber in the thread on dual weapons; in actuality, Excaliber is still being used unidentified by my second Fighter. Same with the Hades Harp and Renaissance Lute being used by the Bards; they work, but they're "question mark" items in inventory.
