If you haven't played a game from Sir-Tech, you haven't played a good game. This company did another one of my favorite titles--Jagged Alliance 1 & 2. Anyway, about this game.

It has NEVER crashed on me. (How many games can I say that about?) It is very fast on my system. I agree, the battles CAN be long, but the designers allowed an option called "Continuous" that lets the fighting flow more... fluid? real time, I guess you could say. The UI is so very easy to use. The Magic system took me a few days to figure out, but it's intuitive once ya do. IMO, it's a 5-star game, and I've already recommended it to 2 friends.

I've compared this game to Baldur's Gate, but in a 1st-person view, and Morrowind except that it allows you to control 6-8 players instead of merely the one. In either of those cases, W8 is far better than either of those 2.
