One of the things that bugged me about the end of wiz 8 was that you couldn't wander around for a while after defeating the DS at the cosmic circle, just to blow off that pent up adrenaline.
Well... this time, after ripping the page from the book, and defeating the DS, the final cutscene failed to initiate, and left me just standing there. And left Vi just standing there too (oh, and Bela). I was not at first able to interact with the environment, or recruit Vi back into my party, but I could still walk. So I left the circle, returned through the portal to ascension peak, and as soon as I ran into a group of monsters, all control came back. So after dispatching the monsters, I returned to the cosmic circle, and was able to pick up the DS's dropped COBALTINE POWER GLOVE (modern weapon, primary slot only, slightly better stats than the frontier phaser). But I still could not re-recruit Vi. So I returned to Arnika, and lo and behold, there she was at He'Li's. "Great to see you guys! Hope everything went well. Let's go!" So with Vi II in tow, we portaled back to the cosmic circle, and there was the original Vi just standing there. I even dismissed Vi II from the party just to see the twins standing there next to each other (should get a screen shot for the Dominus Examiner!).
So, now I have completed the game, it wrote an endgame.sav file, I got the DS's glove, and I'm still free to roam around (for all that's worth). Vi's been cloned (made the Raelians proud). I tried to grab the forge or the book, but couldn't. The cursor actually changes to a hand when you pass it over the book, but you can't manipulate it. Oh, well. Being a cosmic lord obviously has its limitations...
So, has anyone else ever experienced this, or am I the first to get the DS's cobaltine power glove?
