Actually rangers also get ranged criticals, that isn't helpful though since their criticals only apply while they are a ranger and rangers can't use omniguns.
The last game I played I decided to leave my Gadgeteer as a pure class so that she could keep using the omnigun. My bard however I changed into a fighter to get the fast stamina regeneration.
