Wizards and Warriors is a far better game than Wizardry 8.
Apply the 1.0 patch and unless you're running XP it'll be fine, I've had no problems with crashes at all.

Plus points-

1- Combat in W&W is fast and immediate, no wiggle, wiggle, wiggle 1 Ironweed moves, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, 2nd Ironweed moves, yaaaawwwwn. 1 hour later, wiggle wiggle, 9th Ironweed dies of boredom.

2- No spaceships

3- No innapropriate races, ie wookies.

4- You feel a great sense of involvement with your guys

5- The world- You say Wiz 8 is more expansive?, no way the W&W world is huge and varied.

6- Lots of control over your character development

7- Did I mention combat?.

8- Oh yes, combat doesn't take 1 hour per battle.
