The rescue of the rapax queen seems to be a bit of unfinished business: though probably originally planned as a major game element,all you can do is open her cave and let her fend for herself.
I really hope a 'gold' issue of the game will be created, expanding and clearing up some of these loose ends. Though a fine game, 8 is only a tiny fraction of the size of 7...
