If you like a class to use certain weapons that are powerful in the game, or if you just want berserk ability etc, then dualclassing is good. Personally I think the (non-faerie) ninja isn't as good in the end as it was in the beginning, so I would class change the ninja to a fighter when the skills are good enough (or ranger if you still want to improve magic).
Then we have pure casters like alchemist, mage etc, and I think it's good to have a few level as bishop to get some other good spells for them too. Lords and valkyries are good when they are pure, but they become better when changed to fighter so they can berserk. And hybrids are usually very hard to develop their magic skills, so it is good to start as a pure caster to get a good start.
