bling bling: For chests you need to reload to a point before entering the area that contains the chest, for the first time. In the upper monastery, you'd need to reload to a point where you're still in the lower monastery, before ever entering the upper monastery. Or for Nessie's chest, before entering Bayjin shallows for the first time.
