Nothing wrong with having a Bard and Gadgeteer in the same group to me, they just will need the Bishop to cast rest all alot to recharge their stamina. I had a party with both, the Gadgy opened locks, the Bard PP'ed, and there is not much overlap in terms of the spells the gadgets and musical instruments produce. The Gadgeteer is more a ranged fighter because the omnigun gets so good; I would leave him pure just for it to improve. The Bard I would usually switch over to fighter, and would be using as a melee character with bloodlust prior to that. I didn't bother with Int with bards, went more for str/dex and some vit. Also I don't like faeries because their equipment is so limited (unless it's the faerie ninja), so I ended up going with either elves or felpurrs as bishops.
