There are some pieces of paper you can find, some drop off T'rang if you kill them, with clues to that. I actually stood there and dialled it until it opened my first time through.

740, if i remember correctly, or 704. I'm pretty sure it's not 4 or 0 in the top one. There's a switch just around the corner to neutralize the trap, too.
