I'm from northern Germany, 32 years old. I started table-top roleplaying back in school in the mid-80s, and computer roleplaying around the same time. The first games I played were the Bard's Tale and Ultima IV on an Apple IIc. I still have both the computer and the discs somewhere, but I doubt the discs are still functional .

I guess I've played a good part of the computer rpgs of the last 15 years, but the one I've easily played most was Wizardry 7. I think I've finished that with about half a dozend different parties (mostly in expert mode), and started dozends of others that got to various points of the game. I've also played Wizardry 6 a lot, although I only made it through with 2 or 3 parties, since I couldn't find the password for the stupid oracle. I actually bought the Wizardry Archives to get my hands on an english Wiz6 and finaly play it through (I had found the password for the english version in several walk-throughs, just never found the german one once), even though I had both Wiz6 and Wiz7 already.

The only other game I've played nearly as much as Wiz7 was Dungeon Master, since I loved (and still love) their skill and profession system. I've tried to play Wizards&Warriors, but only made it half-way through since the graphics didn't agree with me, and by the time I had made it through to the 2nd town my future husband had already finished, and playing by myself when he was talking about other games all the time does get on my nerves after a while (he's not the kind of person to replay games ). I'm still hoping I'll get along better with Wiz8, even though I only just made it to Trynton and he's already got to Bayjin. If I do figure out how to get the game to behave and not get sick from playing I'm determined to catch up with him quickly .

In that nasty other dimension called "real life", I've just started on the exciting new adventure of building a family. I'm 3 month pregnant with my first child, which does take a bit of getting used to (and does restrict time for computer games when I have to think about other stuff such as getting married inbetween ). My job is keeping me away from home right now, so I usually have to leave home early on Mondays and don't get back until late on Thursday. It does leave me time to play on those lonely nights sitting in hotel rooms (if I can get Wiz8 working on the laptop without giving me trouble I'll be more than happy ).

As far as boards go, I read/lurk a lot more than I write (although if I do write, I can seldom keep it short ). I have been lurking for several month on the W&W board last year, but I doubt I ever once posted. I'll try to behave a bit better on here though, and post at least now and then .
