Not true. You can't improve the skill anymore though. If you switch to Ninja and develop stealth to a 50, then switch back to Samurai, you'll always have the 50 stealth skill and will use it. It just won't go up anymore via practice and you can't put points into it on level ups.

The unique skills though (like say auto-penetrate and thrown criticals for a ninja) would go away completely.
