GenX's party suggestion is excellent, almost exactly the "best" party I've had as well, all the same classes (except I had a felpurr rogue instead of the ranger). But if it's your first party the Ranger is probably better for the auto search - rogues make really amazing melee characters in this game, and I developed mine in throwing so he was the designated powder/bomb guy which were his "spells".

I would think about either dualing the Faerie as a bishop/ninja or alchemist/ninja, or just go as a pure ninja and cast alot, that is what mine did and he's a very potent caster.
