You can simply tell Milano Calzone "Dark Savant" when he asks who sent you, and he should get out of the way without you having to squeeze past him thus allowing you to pick up the breeder key without incident. If the 'check' you speak of is the bank robbery note, don't use it. It will simply make Lorrac aggressive and you will be forced to kill her and her guards. There is no point to this, as the vault and the personal storage can easily be accessed without disposing of them.

Also, think about killing Don Barlone, or pickpocketing him for the Cane of Corpus, and the Astral Dominae (if you don't wish to pay for it). If you have a fairy ninja, the cane of corpus is the finest weapon you will ever see, with massive damage potential and fantastic chance of status effects.
