You can find them and disarm them the same way. Step on them.
There are several ways to defeat them. Mirror Image (area of effect), Stoneskin (physical damage), Protection from Petrification (self-explanatory). I can't think of the others right now.
Duh..I just had to use Vampiric Touch to temporarily boost my hit points up high enough to survive some of the insane traps.
