The red & yellow wires are needed in Martens Bluff to fix the T'rang Teleporter....so just keep them !
The terminal in the Mt. Gigas Cave is fixed quite easy (and I did not find the way on myself too... had to check the forum....):
when it "shut down" a penal at the back of the terminal opens, just klick on the three wires you see ... I don't remember the right sequence, but I think you will find it out quite fast. The only rule: don't touch two wires at one time...
