No question about it: light sword for me.
The shield is nice, but no one in my parties these days uses a shield. Kinda makes it useless
Mystic Ray: Whazzat? Haven't come across this in any of my games so far.
Frontier Phaser: Ho hum. Doesn't that need modern weapon skill and power packs? I never bother with modern weapons except for gadgeteers, and they alrady have their omnigun and other goodies.
