Sorry jsteng I have to disagree with this. I found the manual a great read and it does give you the basics to be able to start playing the game (expecially for newbies).
The forums like IW are great to get ideas on how to tweak your characters and how to get the best playing experience.

This is a bit harsh wolfie. While some questions asked in forums may have the answer in the manual it can be hard to find the answer you need without the use of an index as is the case with the Wiz 8 manual. For my part I have no problem with someone asking a question that may have an answer in the manual............there is after all 133 pages of info in there. I have no doubt asked a question here myself where the answer could be found in a manual. I guess I was just lucky that people wanted to help me anyway and gave me no indication that I was P***ing them off. To them I give a heartwarming THANKS
